Grupo SENERBest Doctoral Thesis Awards
The Best Doctoral Thesis Awards are a SENER Foundation initiative aimed at stimulating research at the highest level in the scientific and technical areas in which SENER operates: Aerospace, Infrastructure, Energy, and Marine.
The SENER Foundation views support for research as the collaboration between young researchers and their teaching staff, who use their experience to guide doctoral students in their projects. As such, the Best Doctoral Thesis Awards recognize the work of both the author of the thesis (with a prize of €12,000) and the director or directors of the thesis (with a total prize of €3,000).
The SENER Foundation sponsors the Spanish Space and Air Force Award in the university aerospace research category. These awards are intended to contribute to the awareness of the Space and Air Force society and its work. The Plus Ultra Award for Aerospace Research and Innovation highlights researchers and scientists as the true engines of the advances that the aerospace industry offers every day.

ST3LLAR SENER Foundation Awards
The SENER Foundation wishes to recognise those Final Degree Projects (FDP), for undergraduate or master’s degrees, that are carried out in the theme and field of the UC3M-SENER Aerospace Chair, with the aim of recognising the excellence and quality of research, science and technology in the FDPs of the students of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with an annual award called ST3LLAR Fundación SENER Awards for the best FDP.
In addition, in the 2023-2024 call, group works resulting from the pre-design course of the Master in Space Engineering (MISE, Master in Space Engineering) may apply for these awards. Rules for the ST3LLAR Fundación SENER Awards 2023-2024.
