The SENER Foundation has participated in the Virtual Congress Lo Que De Verdad Importa (“What Really Matters” in Spanish) for Bilbao and Asturias, which was broadcast today.
The event included the testimonies of Sara Andrés, Paralympic athletics champion; Arancha Martínez, creator of the NGO It will be; and Ousman Umar, an immigrant from Ghana who created a social enterprise awarded by the UN.
On behalf of SENER, it was the Director of the SENER Foundation, Rosana Madroñal, who attended the congress and stressed that “it becomes more important at these times the fact that science, technology and engineering must be at the service of society to find solutions that improve people’s lives.”
The meeting, organized by the Foundation Lo Que De Verdad Importa, aims to bring people (mainly young people between 15 and 25 years) closer to universal human values such as tolerance, self-improvement, respect or solidarity through exemplary and inspiring life stories, so that they reflect on the things that really matter in life.
